Workshop Description
To begin this workshop we were required to create three observational line drawings by looking out the classroom window. We were allowed one minute to draw before moving windows, changing colours and beginning another line drawing over the last. On top of these three, three layered line drawings we began creating a collage. These were to be the bases of our stencil artworks. Once we had finished our drawing we were to create a shape or pattern that we would cut out using a scalpel and scary paint over our collages. An outside area was prepared with drop cloths and newspaper, covering the ground and all the surfaces to protect them from the paint. We were then given a brief demonstration outlining a few techniques we could use with the spare paint before we were giving the freedom to create our own artworks. Lesson Ideas
